Suppressions:
While happy to embrace her attraction to women, Gideon has spent a great deal of time repressing her specific attraction to one Harrowhark Nonagesimus, and continues to deny those feelings even now beyond her grasp.
Gideon fantasizes about her existence mattering, and when younger, often dreamed that her father would come to fetch her and the Ninth would be punished for their treatment of her. Though she has come to accept this as a child's flight of fancy, and that her value is little, she still holds tight to the desire to be greater than she is - either as part of the Cohort, or later and terminally, as part of her necromancer's ascent to greatness.
She hold a great deal of rage and bitterness within her that she disguises with humour, and though she is aware of her anger, she doesn't think it affects her as much as it does. Similarly, she downplays the cruelty of what she says and does within her own mind, and it's impact on those around her is equally downplayed.
Greatest Fear: That Harrowhawk will die and Gideon will be forced to keep her promise and return to the Ninth alive, where she'll spend the rest of her forsaken life in that cold grim dump guarding Harrowhawk's corpse bride.
Greatest Desire: To matter - actually, really matter - and to know she mattered and to have everyone admit that she actually was important, and not just an accident.
Greatest Regret: That she snitched on Harrowhawk and made everything unbearable thereafter.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
AT FIRST SIGHT: Tall, broad, muscular - look at those arms, ignore the legs. Redhead, warm skin, golden eyes, great teeth. Guns out, aviator shades, two-handed sword on the back. Sometimes, a greasepaint skull, acne underneath, the sour smell of sweat. Other times, a clean face (less acne) and a clumsy attempt at cologne.
DEMEANOUR: When not sworn to silent, Gideon is loud, crude, cruel and charming - for a certain definition of charming. More muscles than brains, sure, but those are a lot of muscles - and so there's plenty of brain in there too, just all devoted to quipping, escaping the Ninth, joining the Cohort and acquiring both skinmags and a girlfriend. Maybe a bunch of girlfriends.
